When can I get a smaller bar on my scaffold piercing?

I got mine pierced yesterday, and they said I had to have a slightly bigger bar to start with, but they never actually said when I could get a smaller, fitted one.

you get a smaller one when its healed about 4 months if your a good healer. wait until the piercing is fully healed till you change it or it will fuck up. they give u a bigger bar so the ear can swell changing it to soon will mess it up.
