How do I go about finding a fitness/workout partner?
I started going to a gym recently, and I would like to find a workout partner who can help me with the weights and provide support. I’ve asked people at the gym but they aren’t interested or are much more advanced than me. Most of my friends aren’t interested in joining a gym either. Any other ways I can go about finding someone at my level (beginner/intermediate).
craigslist, or yahoo personals.
Also, you could try talking to the employees at your gym and let them know of your interest in finding a partner. They might know another beginner and introduce you to them.

If your gym has a bulletin board, you can post a note up there to see if you can find someone, or leave one at the check in desk. That way if someone comes in when you aren’t there, you might be able to find a partner. Other than that, you may have to bribe a friend…

I go Kickboxing and pilates every week alone. I dont need anyone to accompany me to go exercise especially for gym. Even if you find a partner, while you are exercising, do you tink you will chat with him/her when exercising? This will defeat the purpose of working-out coz you should focus when in training.
As for the same level in exercising, different people have different endurance in sports, so whilst you can really find some1 in the same level as you initially, after some time both of you might not advance to the same level. The best partner would be gym trainers to guide you.
