What are some good exercises for a persons butt, hips, and thighs? What are some good exercises for the arms, stomach, and shoulders?
How do you make sure that your skin tightens when you loss weight?

Please be nice, answer fully, and give descriptions if possible.
Yes, I am female. It is not some much losing weight but being more healthy, as my weight is at an unhealthy level. I would just like to know of some easy to learn/do exercises to do for the hips, but, and thighs so that i can start to lose fat in those areas.

Im more worried about losing the weight, and my skin hanging off my body, then I am about the acutal losing weight.
Also, I have started to eat less and eat healthier foods.

Given the mentioned ‘problem areas’ I’ll take it you are female?

Firstly, exercise is a good way to keep yourself fit and healthy, but it’s a really inferior method to lose weight, on its own.

You see, we lose weight when we are in a negative energy balance, meaning we expend more energy than we take in by food and drink. The effect of exercise on energy balance is marginal at best, unless you are a world class professional athlete who vigorously trains multiple times each day.

While I recommend physical exercise regardless of your priorities, If your prime goal is to lose weight, eating less will be your best bet for achieving that.

The female fat storage pattern is notorious for being focused on exactly the hips, thighs and butt, which means every time you ingest more energy via food than you expend through your daily activities, your body will first store the excess in those areas of your body – in the form of subcutaneous fat.

I’m planning to get an ipod touch 8gb just for apps and gaming… how many apps and games will fit?

I probably will put about 300 songs only and leave the rest for games and apps. how many apps and games will i be able to fit?

Approximately one GB will go to the system and other functions to make it run correctly (at least for mine it did), and 300 songs average about 6 MB each, that’s 1.8 GB, subtract that from 7 and you get approximately 5.2 GB for games and apps, as for a number, that depends on the size of them. I have seen apps ranging in size from a few hundred KB to 200 MB. Depending on what you are looking for I’d say about 60 at the least.

i only wear skinnies, but i’m almost 16 and only 4’11” … i am done growing. short styled jeans are even way too long. it seems like the jeans i get never fit right. i can wear anywhere from 14′s in kids to 3′s in juniors. help. PLEASE!!?! i don’t mind spending 20-30 $ on a good pair.

I need to lose about 60 pounds! How many days a week should I exercise and for how longs in minutes/hours? What is the best exercise(s) for the midsection.

Remember you need Three (3)Things
The first 2 are Willpower & Wont power
Wont eat Junk food
Wont drink soda’s
and Wont eat Ice Cream
Will Exercise everyday
Will eat Healthy foods
Cycling, Swimming Tennis and Brisk Walking,

Am I a healthy weight? How can I get fit?

i am 13, 165 cm tall and weigh 46 kg. i don’t want bmi’s, i know my bmi, i want an opinion or a doctors opinion on whether i am a healthy weight. also, i seem to be gaining, i was 43 kg at the beginning of this year. is this okay and can i stop it?

also how can i get fit? i play netball and i am an okay runner but running is hard cause i always get a stitch?

That weight is actually quite slim for your height. I think that you are at a healthy weight as long as you eat food when you are hungry, and you eat nutritious food. It is still possible for someone to be at a healthy weight and have an eating disorder.

As for getting fit, you just need to keep practicing running, and you will get better at it. When you run you sweat and lose a lot of salt, so if you are running for long distances, try some mineral supplements or Gatorade.
