What is the fastest and most effective way of exercise to lose alot of weight?

April 27th, 2010 -- Posted in exercise to lose weight | 3 Comments »

Along with a balanced and healthy diet what exercises are needed to lose my layer of fat on my belly so i can get well defined six pack abs. Please tell me the best muscular exercises for the abs and also the best exercises to lose weight as fast as possible but naturally eg no pills. Tell me the duration and also an estimated time to get six pack abs, I have around 3/4 of an inch of fat covering my belly :(

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace .com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

How to make my thighs less big? and get them tone and fit?

I know personally, what it is like to lose weight. It is a time consuming experience which requires persistence and diligence. I alone lost 50 pounds from last October till now so I think I could help you answer your question.

I did a ton of research on how to most effectively lose weight when I was on my big weight loss kick. The first thing I learned is that there is NO possible way to spot reduce, or to lose fat in a specific area of your body. All you can do is continue to eat healthier and exercise. These are my five tips to a better looking, healthier you:

1. Drink half your weight in ounces of water, per day (Water has been found to increase your metabolism throughout the day).
2. Get your daily source of calcium.
3. Eat whole/fresh foods, staying around 2,000 calories a day. Generally, however, when you eat whole/fresh foods you don’t need to worry about calorie counting.
4. Exercise 30-40 min. of intense cardio 4-5 days a week (Reading is a life saver when you are on a machine).
5. Weightlifting and strength training 30min – 1 hour 4-5 days a week (Create multiple music playlists to listen to).

This isn’t a quick weight loss plan, but you can lose up to 10 pounds a month if you really stick to it. A quick weight loss plan is the Atkins diet, where you cut out all carbohydrates from your diet, putting your body in a state of "Ketosis." Once you lose the weight you SLOWLY introduce carbohydrates back into your body as well as an exercise routine or you will gain all the weight back in not time.

However, I suggest you just follow my 5 tips for healthier weight loss. Just have fun and tweak them a little to suit your needs.

Has anyone tried the PINK Fitness workout and weightloss method?

Let me know what you think…the infomercial exercises look hard. Eating six meals per day sounds like being a slave in the kitchen, but they claim they make it easy. ???

No

I am a 15 year old girl and I would like to start to exercise more. What would be a good workout program for me. I don’t have access to any gym equipment or any weights of any kind. Could some one suggest a workout program for me. Like what exercises to do and stuff. Thanks.

Squats, jumping jacks, push ups, and running. Try to gradually increase those daily. Also, activities such as Dance Dance Revolution are great cardio workouts.

What is the best way to keep yourself motivated to exercise and lose weight?

It is not my New Year’s Resolution. It seems as though so many people make that resolution then fail. That scares me! I just spent a lot of money on a gym membership and time with a trainer and I really really want to lose weight and feel good. How do I keep myself from binge, compulsive and emotional eating?

Well the MOST important thing to remember is that you cannot get RID of a habit, that rarely works. You need to replace a bad habit with a good one. It also takes at least 2 months to firmly ingrain a new habit.

You need to clean out your kitchen. Throw out all the garbage food, chips, dips, candies etc. GET IT OUT of the house. Do not buy anymore. Do not let the kids talk you into buying more. Explain to them that the one thing in life that really MATTERS is your health, because without your health, life is hard, if not impossible, to enjoy.

Remember that everyday you quit and go back to crappy eating habits is another day that you are punishing yourself and holding yourself back from a happier, free life.

Go to the gym even when you don’t want to! It never fails, once you get there you will enjoy yourself. 90% of the battle is getting there! Stick with it, and don’t let people in your life get you off track…People often want fat people to stay fat. "Come on, lets have pizza tonight, it won’t hurt just once!" "Have that ice cream, you can work it off tomorrow" Remember that you are building NEW habits for a better life and a better future for both you AND your children. Children learn by example, do you want them to suffer health problems later in life because you didn’t teach them proper eating habits? No, of course you don’t. So remember that this isn’t only about you, but your childrens future! When you get the urge to eat, get out of the house, walk, hit the gym…eventually you’ll replace food with healthier options.

You can do it, but only if you realize that you are worth it.

Fitness: What are the best and safest upper body strength and building exercises for a 5th grade girl?

April 24th, 2010 -- Posted in fitness exercises | 2 Comments »

I was asked by a parent last week what the best and safest upper body strength and building exercises are for her 5th grade daughter. She wants her daughter to look full and healthy instead of too skinny in the upper chest and back area. Thanks for any ideas!

Don’t let the parent go too hard on the young child! The child is only 10 or 11 for goodness sake!! Just tell the mother to have her child take a walk each day with her. Good bonding time as well. Maybe 20-25 crunches each day as well, but NO more than that.

Exercise program regarding weight loss and weight lifting?

April 24th, 2010 -- Posted in exercise program | 3 Comments »

I am looking for some help in trying to plan an exercise program. I am 39 year old male and weigh 232lbs. I love to walk and have access to a weight room (free weights and machines) can someone help me out and tell me how many days I should do what and for how long etc.

I wouldn’t mind having six-pack abs but I would settle for a flat stomach and more muscle definition (Dean Cain)

Right well i would say do as much walking as you can, if not try some light jogging or rowing if you have access to the equipment. half an hour of exercise, that will bring out a sweat, a day and then if you fancy toning your muscles, I would try to begin with use 2 pieces of equipment (weights) per muscle group everyday doing 3 sets of 8-12 reps on each.
Back muscles and biceps are trained by anything you pull towards you, chest and triceps is anything you push away.
Try it out and contact me after you have begun to build a good base, then you can start the concentration methods (one muscle group per day)
