According to my pedometer, I burned 313.81 calories on my walk today. Without restricting my food intake too much (because I normally have a healthy diet) is that enough to lose weight if I do it often? I want to lose about 10 pounds that is mainly Christmas shortbread.
It’s enough if you were to do that just about every day you could loose a half pound a week. If you want to loose more than that you just need to cut an additional 200 calories a day in order to loose a pound a week.
Basiclly do the math one pound=3500 calories
So you have to either burn those extra calories, or cut them out of your diet. The best way is a combination of the two.

I was messing with some of the settings yesterday and i guess i did something that screwed up the margins.
Now the arrows that are supposed to touch the edge of the screen wont come down enough to fit my TV.
How do i get the default settings back and how can i fix this problem.
You’ll need to change your display setting. Go to -System settings(on your dashboard)–Console settings–Display–Screen Format–and then set it on Normal

I also want to tone down some belly fat. Could you please tell me like warm ups, and like step by step, how long should i run etc. thanks.
1.5 Mile run every morning and do 3 x max pressups, sit ups and dorsal raises every day.
Take 2 rest days every week and try and go for a couple hours swim a week.
You’ll lose whatever weight you don’t need quite quickly but its important to keep it up and chop and change your patterns otherwise your body will just get used to it.
Always push yourself to the limit (EG: Sweating) otherwise you won’t see any gains. No Pain, No Gain is a saying for a reason.
Good luck.
Andrew
(PS: Try running all out for 30 seconds then jog slowly for 2 mins then run all out for 30 seconds again for 20 mins, works great)

I see the advertisements for this on tv all the time and its looks like it has provided people with some great results. However, you can’t always believe what you see on tv. So, I thought I’d ask if anyone here has used the system, what kind of results were achieved, and if this exercise program is worth purchasing. Thanks!
Sorry! Thanks for the correction. P90X
I have the program and some of the DVDs are great, the yoga kick boxing, plyometrics they are very challenging i like the ab ripper too…but the muscle building programs i feel are def more geared toward men and i have a hard time completing them, i also dont have a pull up bar in my home so i use the bands, they give options for those so that is helpful….so id say being a girl the cardio is very challenging and wont get old fast because you are always striving to get better at it but i dont like the muscle building ones.

Eat less, burn more. Do this and you will lose weight,., but you must stick to it or nothing will happen.

I’d like to buy a fitness DVD but there are so many to choose from! I just want one I can do at home that will get me sweating and losing weight
Any that you would recommend?
I highly recommend Turbo Jam, if you’re looking for a fun and exciting work out, which WILL get you sweating. It’s sort of like kick-boxing/dancing/exercise all in one. If that doesn’t interest you, I suggest you look at other Beachbody products, they have a TON to choose from.

I need it for my swimming because I want to increase my lung capacity.
Well, swimming would help, for one thing. At my team, we do breathing excercises, also. Like holding your breath for a certain ammount of time, then slowly releasing. That helps. We do yoga on mondays and fridays in order to concentrate on breathing. We run three days a week, which helps with all around fitness, also. About once a week, we run in the water, which ends up being extremely hard if you’re doing it for twenty minutes or so.
I vote just work on your breathing. Yoga is extremely good for that, but if you just want something to do at home, take in a deep breath, concentrating on filling your lungs from bottom to top (your stomach should come out, your shoulders should not come up too much). When you think you’ve taken in the maximum ammount of air, hold for a few seconds, then take in more. Then hold your breath until you start to feel dizzy/think you can’t anymore. Then slowly release. Jusst don’t kill yourself. We do this in the water too, which helps. But doing it a few times a day for a few weeks would help a lot, or like three times a week. Time yourself when you starts, and where you are a few sessions later. I saw a huge difference.

Apparently you do exercise to get your heart rate up, then slow it down then continuously repeat. You also follow a certain diet.
Does anyone know what this exercise/diet program is called?
I believe it may be called intermittent exercise. I’m not sure of a specifically related diet.
